Xilin Feng Jordan is a licensed practitioner of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
A Diplomat of Acupuncture with the NCCAOM (the national regulatory
board of acupuncture in the U. S. A.), she was born in China
and trained both there and in the United States. Dr. Jordan
earned her American degrees at the Pacific College of Oriental
Medicine in NYC, where she completed four years of intensive
study in Traditional Oriental Medicine and expanded her knowledge
of Western medicine. In China, she took an apprenticeship
with the noted acupuncturist Dr. Zhang Zheng Hai and under
his supervision treated numerous serious conditions, including
post-stroke syndromes, Bell's palsy, muscular disorders, various
chronic diseases, and head, back, neck, shoulder and wrist
pain. |
In
this she is helped also by being a trained and practicing
musician prior to her medical studies and dealing extensively
in that capacity with specific problems of instrumental
practice and performance. From her training in the healing
professions, Xilin F. Jordan -- who practiced both Qi Gong
and meditation for many years in private -- not only acquired
a strong belief in a healthy, well rounded lifestyle but
emerged as a passionate practitioner of the Chinese physical
and spiritual healing arts including Tui Na, Gua Sha, cupping,
Thai massage and Eastern nutrition in
addition to acupuncture.
Her background enables her to combine facets of Eastern
and Western medicine into a unique treatment for each patient's
condition. Not only her needles, but Dr. Xilin Jordan's
special sensitivity will contribute to an experience of
deep relaxation of body and mind and an improvement of overall
health that may be anticipated from a course of treatment
with her. |
